New York, June 15, 2022 \u2013\u00a0Villa Albertine, in partnership with FACE Foundation, today revealed the artists and institutions selected for grants across four of its major professional programs. A total of $472,300 will be awarded to help artists based in France and beyond develop new work or present it in over 35 American cities in 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n\n

Each active in a different sphere of contemporary creation, these four programs \u2014\u00c9tant donn\u00e9s Contemporary Art<\/a>, FACE Contemporary Theater<\/a>, FUSED: French US Exchange in Dance<\/a>, and Jazz & New Music<\/a>\u2014connect artists and institutions on both sides of the Atlantic with each other and with financial support, in order to strengthen international collaborations, empower up-and-coming artists, and increase access to international contemporary creation in the United States and France.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s grantees proposed projects that are both artistically innovative and substantively engaged in global issues. I am eager to see what comes of these exchanges, as creators from four different continents present their work not just in New York and Los Angeles but in Pittsburgh, Durham, Lafayette, Minneapolis, and two dozen other American cities,\u201d said Ga\u00ebtan Bruel, Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy in the US and Director of Villa Albertine. \u201cOur deepest thanks to FACE Foundation, the Institut fran\u00e7ais, the French Ministry of Culture, and each of our partners for their collaboration and support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
