{"id":61792,"date":"2021-09-10T18:46:07","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T18:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/professionals\/face-contemporary-theater\/"},"modified":"2023-09-13T21:21:39","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T21:21:39","slug":"face-contemporary-theater","status":"publish","type":"app_professional","link":"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/va\/professionals\/face-contemporary-theater\/","title":{"rendered":"FACE Contemporary Theater"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Created in 1999 by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, now Villa Albertine, Institut\u00a0fran\u00e7ais\u00a0and\u00a0FACE Foundation,<strong>\u00a0FACE Contemporary Theater\u00a0<\/strong>encourages French-American artistic collaborations in theater, contemporary circus and\u00a0puppetry,\u00a0allocating grants to French or American nonprofit institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, the program has expanded beyond artists based in France to include projects by\u00a0<strong>artists from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East<\/strong>\u00a0performing in the United States, as long as their work is co-produced by French cultural institutions.
