Actress Virginie Effira was named best actress for her role in Alice Winocour’s\u00a0Revoir Paris<\/em><\/a>. Beno\u00eet Magimel, who also plays in Paris attacks, was awarded with the best actor prize for\u00a0Pacifiction<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>by Albert Serra.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Along with Dominik Moll who was awarded with the best director prize, Alice Diop received the best first film prize for\u00a0St Omer<\/em><\/a>, a captivating film that explores the depths of a French infanticide case.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

As Bestas, <\/em>by Spanish director\u00a0Rodrigo Sorogoyen, won the best foreign film prize. Michaela Pavl\u00e1tov\u00e1\u00a0My Sunny Maad<\/em>\u00a0and Ur\u0161ka Djuki\u0107 and Emilie Pigard’s\u00a0Granny’s\u00a0Sexual Life\u00a0<\/em>won the Cesars for Best Animated Feature and Best Animated Short respectively.<\/p>\n\n

Return to Reims (Fragments)<\/em> by Jean-Gabriel P\u00e9riot won the best documentary award along with Elisabeth Subrin’s\u00a0Maria Schneider, 1983\u00a0<\/em>awarded best short documentary of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
