Production and Distribution with New Media &#8211; AI<\/a>,  Carol Giordano (Seconde Nature and ZINC associations) and Fred Volhuer (Atlas V) additionally shared their insights on the &#8220;<em>production and distribution challenges for new formats.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pierre Zandrowicz (Atlas V) and filmmaker Matthew Tierney were in attendance as well, to discuss <a href=\"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/professionals\/creating-ai\/\">the process of making their work &#8220;IN SEARCH OF TIME&#8221; using AI<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" src=\"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-scaled.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231201_200009199.MP-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/>\n\t\t\t<figcaption>\n\t\t\t<p>\u00a9 FilmGate Miami<\/p>\n\t\t<\/figcaption>\n\t<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Best of Fest<\/em> Awarded to a French Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/events\/four-french-immersive-works-at-fgi-x\/\">French co-produced works<\/a>, including &#8220;FLOW,&#8221; &#8220;FORTUNE,&#8221; and &#8220;IN SEARCH OF TIME&#8221; were in competition for the festival&#8217;s &#8220;Best of Fest&#8221; award, with the French VR experience &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.swapcard.com\/event\/newimages-festival-2023\/exhibitor\/RXhoaWJpdG9yXzEyMDIzOTk=\">THE EYE AND I<\/a>&#8221; winning the top prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.swapcard.com\/event\/newimages-festival-2023\/exhibitor\/RXhoaWJpdG9yXzEyMDIzOTk=\">THE EYE AND I<\/a>&#8221; is a collaborative immersive work by Jean-Michel Jarre and Hsin-Chien Huang that delves into the evolution of surveillance across art, family, politics, and technology through 12 cells in a panopticon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A New Caribbean XR Lab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Three projects by Guadeloupean creators shined during Filmgate Miami&#8217;s workshops and final pitch competition, revealing possible convergences between the Caribbean imaginary and immersive technologies: &#8220;VELUM&#8221; by Ella Jacoby-Koaly, &#8220;BEYOND LINE OF SIGHT&#8221; by Jeff Fidelin, and &#8220;TIMELESS GUADELOUPE&#8221; by Lucas Sousseing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<em>New Narratives Lab<\/em> is a program of masterclasses, individual workshops, prototyping, and mentorship at University of Miami, created by\u00a0FilmGate Miami with the support of Villa Albertine, <a href=\"https:\/\/nouveauxregardsff.com\/home\/\">Nouveaux Regards<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institutfrancais.com\/en\/programmes-and-projects\/caribbean-mobility-fund\">Caribbean Mobility Fund<\/a>.
