This fall, Villa Albertine Chicago is expanding its architecture-focused public programming with a series of events supported by Saint-Gobain<\/a><\/strong>, a global leader in light and sustainable construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the presentation of the French Pavilion Living with \/ Vivre Avec<\/a><\/em><\/strong> from the Venice Architecture Biennale in Chicago (November 2025\u2013February 2026), and the organization of a Summer Academy in Architecture and Urban Studies<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in Paris that brought together 20 pairs of French and American architecture students, Villa Albertine Chicago and Mas Context organize a three-day symposium <\/strong>bringing together leading voices to explore the future of sustainable architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium will foster lively transatlantic exchanges<\/strong> through the perspectives of more than 35 architects, landscape architects, urban planners, curators, artists, scientists, researchers, philosophers, and leading experts exploring three key themes: Innovative Adaptation, Civic Changemaking, and Flourishing Environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each day will take place at a different venue\u2014the IIT College of Architecture<\/a><\/strong>, Experimental Station on the South Side<\/a><\/strong>, and the Chicago Architecture Center<\/a><\/strong>\u2014and will combine short talks, public Q&A sessions, and guided tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program is free and open to professionals, academics, students, and the broader public. The full program will be available in late summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaping Contemporary Realities: Architecture and Beyond<\/strong> is organized by Villa Albertine Chicago<\/strong> and MAS Context<\/a><\/strong>, with the support of Saint-Gobain<\/a><\/strong>, Albertine Foundation<\/a><\/strong>, Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain<\/a><\/strong>, and Driehaus Foundation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/em>

The symposium is presented in collaboration with IIT College of Architecture<\/strong>, Experimental Station<\/strong>, the Chicago Architecture Center<\/strong>, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA)<\/a><\/strong>, and the Driehaus Museum<\/a><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
