Villa Albertine, Non-Event,\u00a0the\u00a0Goethe-Institut\u00a0Boston and the\u00a0Metropolitan\u00a0Waterworks\u00a0Museum, are thrilled to\u00a0present\u00a0a\u00a0pair\u00a0of\u00a0site-responsive\u00a0solo\u00a0performances\u00a0by French\u00a0and Belgian artist Rom\u00e9o\u00a0Poirier and American artist Kristina\u00a0Warren.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rom\u00e9o\u00a0Poirier is a French electronic musician, who creates highly-textured, hybrid digital analog sound collages. He has released albums on the London-based record label Kit Records (Plage Arri\u00e8re), the mancunian label Sferic (Hotel Nota) and Jan Jelinek’s Berlin-based imprint Faitiche (Living Room), transforming the layering of different times into a free-flowing pulse that sounds both nostalgic and mysteriously ahistorical. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kristina\u00a0Warren\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0sound\u00a0artist,\u00a0composer,\u00a0performer,\u00a0and\u00a0instrument\u00a0
builder-based\u00a0 on\u00a0Wampanoag\u00a0and\u00a0Narragansett\u00a0land\u00a0also\u00a0known\u00a0as\u00a0
Providence,\u00a0Rhode\u00a0Island.\u00a0Both\u00a0in\u00a0 solo\u00a0projects\u00a0and\u00a0in\u00a0collaborative\u00a0work\u00a0
including\u00a0curating,\u00a0Warren\u00a0believes\u00a0that\u00a0collective\u00a0 listening\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0precious\u00a0
and\u00a0political\u00a0act.\u00a0Warren\u00a0uses\u00a0self-designed\u00a0and\u00a0received\u00a0audio\u00a0tools\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0
performances,\u00a0installations,\u00a0and\u00a0recorded\u00a0works,\u00a0whose\u00a0recent\u00a0\u201cASMR\u00a0drone\u201d\u00a0
style\u00a0uses\u00a0quieter\u00a0volumes\u00a0and\u00a0careful\u00a0orchestrations\u00a0to\u00a0help\u00a0audiences\u00a0perceive\u00a0
