As the first exhibition devoted entirely to landscapes and representations of nature by women impressionists, it shifts the focus beyond domestic subjects\u2014long emphasized in scholarship\u2014to reveal the breadth and power of their work outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gathering nearly sixty works, the exhibition spotlights major figures such as <strong>Berthe Morisot<\/strong>, <strong>Mary Cassatt<\/strong>, <strong>Marie Bracquemond<\/strong>, and <strong>Blanche Hosched\u00e9-Monet<\/strong>, while also featuring celebrated Salon artists like <strong>Rosa Bonheur<\/strong>. It explores how, between 1860 and 1910, depictions of nature played a crucial role in the artistic development and public recognition of women painters, offering them a creative space freed from the constraints of the studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection\u2014paintings, pastels, and drawings\u2014reflects a wide range of themes: marine and agricultural scenes, gardens and parks, landscapes observed during daily walks, and more intimate outdoor moments. Highlights include Morisot\u2019s views of the Bois de Boulogne, Bracquemond\u2019s landscapes in S\u00e8vres, and Cassatt\u2019s depictions of the Ch\u00e2teau de Beaufresne after 1894.
