France will shine once again as Miami Art Week<\/em> brings twenty Art Fairs and endless cultural activations to the Magic City, featuring a cohort of French artists. Here are some of the highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art Basel<\/strong> returns to Miami Beach with 283 leading galleries from 43 countries, including many French galleries (Cr\u00e8vec\u0153ur, mor charpentier, Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Perrotin and Templon to name a few). Villa Albertine is partnering with the French Professional Committee of Art Galleries (CPGA) for the fifth edition of the CPGA\u2013Etant donn\u00e9s Prize <\/a>at Art Basel Miami Beach<\/em>, awarded to a living artist active on the French art scene and exhibited at Art Basel Miami Beach. In 2024, the prize was awarded to Joanna Mirabel<\/a> (represented by Galerie Nathalie Obadia<\/em>) who will be in residence with the Villa Albertine Miami in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art Basel’s sister fair, Design Miami,<\/strong> will be celebrating its\u00a020th anniversary as the global forum for collectible design. This year’s exhibitors\u00a0include nine French galeries (Carpenters Workshop, Galerie Gastou, Galerie SCENE OUVERTE, Galerie Sign\u00e9, Giula de Jonckheere Design, LEFEBVRE ET FILS,\u00a0MOUVEMENTS MODERNES, Th\u00e9or\u00e8me \u00e9ditions, and the Spaceless Gallery).
The fair’s Special Projects<\/em> section will\u00a0highlight the work of French-American artist\u00a0Joyce Billet<\/a> with “Rising, Rooted, and Woven” presented by Villa Albertine with plants provided by Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The project explores the intersections between the natural and the constructed. Her work can also be viewed at her Open Studio<\/a> in the Design District where you can <\/strong>experience the creative process behind her monumental works

Outside the fair, “Mr. Pink Takes Flight,” by French artist Philippe Katerine, <\/strong>is one of the first public art installations marking the start of the city’s annual arts celebration. The\u00a0Museum of Graffiti<\/a>\u00a0will present a solo exhibition of France-based\u00a0Graffiti\u00a0artist\u00a0JonOne<\/a>\u00a0while NSU Museum of Art will highlight its\u00a0Christo and Jeanne-Claude\u00a0\u201cSurrounded Islands\u201d<\/a>\u00a0exhibition. You can also view the recently unveiled public works of Marielle Plaisir (represented by Snitzer Gallery at Art Basel) <\/em><\/strong>\u201cThe Way I See the World\u201d \u2013 Screening Facade (2025)<\/a><\/em>, a large-scale illuminated fa\u00e7ade installation at Atlantic Station<\/em> building downtown Miami.

On the music side,\u00a0ZeyZey<\/a>\u00a0will showcase\u00a0the whole\u00a0Roche Musique<\/em>\u00a0label\u00a0 including performances and DJ sets by\u00a0FKJ,\u00a0Dabeull,\u00a0Breakbot & Irfaneto name a few.\u00a0Factory Town’s\u00a0Basel line up<\/a>\u00a0will feature French DJ star Hugel.\u00a0
