Albertine Translation Fund & Prizes<\/a>, a new and enhanced version of the French Voices Awards, was launched in 2022. Representing new trends in\u00a0all categories including fiction, non-fiction, and comics, it recognizes the quality of both the original work and the translation.<\/p>\n

Chosen by a committee of independent professional experts (academics, translators, and publishers), the works selected epitomize the many facets of a vibrant French literary scene. Each book selected receives $2,000 to cover the publishing costs, and 50% of the translation costs up to $5,000.<\/p>\n

The Albertine Translation committee also chooses, among the recipients, two winners each year \u2013 one in fiction and one in non-fiction. The winners receive a $5,000 prize allocated to the translator.<\/p>\n

The complete list of tiles supported by the program this year will be announced on this\u00a0page<\/a><\/u>\u00a0on\u00a0January\u00a0<\/strong>23<\/strong>\u00a0and the prize winners will be announced at a Ceremony held of\u00a0January 26, 2023 at 6pm at the Villa Albertine Headquarters.<\/strong><\/p>\n
