Le Blanc-Mesnil, lives and works in Paris) is a French-Caribbean conceptual artist, and a recent finalist for the Prix Marcel Duchamp, whose work will be included in Forecast Form. His work references the fraught colonial histories between France and Martinique and is shaped by the French-Caribbean intellectual tradition and n\u00e9gritude movement, including Franz Fanon, \u00c9douard Glissant, and Patrick Chamoiseau. Within the context of Forecast Form, Creuzet\u2019s work is of utmost importance, as it introduces French Caribbean thought and art history within the context of a US-based exhibition that focuses on Caribbean diaspora.<\/p>\n<p><em>Forecast Form: Art in the Caribbean Diaspora, 1990s\u2013Today <\/em>is supported\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/face-foundation.org\/artistic-funds\/etant-donnes-contemporary-art\/\">Etant donn\u00e9s Contemporary Art,<\/a>\u00a0a program of Villa Albertine and FACE Foundation, in partnership with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.franceintheus.org\/\">French Embassy in the United States<\/a>, with support from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.culture.gouv.fr\/\">French Ministry of Culture<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.institutfrancais.com\/fr\">Institut fran\u00e7ais<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fordfoundation.org\/\">Ford Foundation<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.frankenthalerfoundation.org\/\">Helen Frankenthaler Foundation<\/a>, CHANEL, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adagp.fr\/\">ADAGP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":59677,"menu_order":0,"template":"","app_discipline":[236,218],"app_city_tax":[223],"app_event_type":[242],"class_list":["post-59679","app_event","type-app_event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","app_discipline-museums","app_discipline-visual-arts","app_city_tax-chi","app_event_type-exhibition"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
