Art Basel Miami Beach<\/a>, the largest art fair in the United States, is presenting its 20th anniversary edition which will run December 1\u20133 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and host 283 exhibitors from 38 countries and territories. 14 French galleries will participate, including Ceysson & B\u00e9neti\u00e8re, Cr\u00e8vecoeur, Chantal Crousel, frank elbaz, Christophe Gaillard, 1900-2000, Karsten Gr\u00e8ve, Lelong, kamel mennour, Mitterand, mor charpentier, Nathalie Obadia, Perrotin, and Almine Rech. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year, Villa Albertine is partnering with the French Professional Committee of Art Galleries (CPGA) to launch the Etant Donn\u00e9s 2022 prize<\/a>, awarded to a living artist active on the French art scene and exhibited at Art Basel Miami Beach 2022.\u202fThe winners of the Etant Donn\u00e9s prize (a French-based artist and his or her gallery owner) will be announced on Tuesday, November 29 at 6pm. They will receive A 15.000$ grant. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Close to\u00a0a\u00a0dozen\u00a0additional\u00a0fairs\u00a0will\u00a0also\u00a0be\u00a0up in\u00a0Wynwood, downtown and\u00a0in Miami Beach.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the support of Villa Albertine, the work of French artist Joyce Billet<\/strong> will be showcased as part of the Special Projects program at Untitled Art Fair<\/a>. She will explore the connection between the natural and the digital by introducing ABOVE THE GROUND, in collaboration with the Center of Subtropical Affairs and FIU’s Robotics and Digital Fabrication Lab. The installation will be accompanied by a publication released by Exile Books. The fair will also present Julien Caset and Septi\u00e8me galleries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Art Miami<\/a> and Context<\/a> fairs will host eight French galleries including local institutions L\u00e9lia Mordoch and Waltman Ortega Fine Art, while the associative art fair NADA<\/a> will feature emerging French galleries Derouillo, Lebf\u00e8vre & Fils, and Sans Titre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among Art Basel\u2019s partner museums, ICA Miami<\/a> presents a retrospective view of the early works of Herv\u00e9 T\u00e9l\u00e9maque<\/strong> from 1959 to 1964, supported in part by Villa Albertine. The Wolfsonian Museum-FIU will present internationally acclaimed curator and author\u00a0Pamela Golbin<\/strong>\u00a0in conversation with French designer\u00a0Jean-Louis Deniot<\/strong>, on December 29th, discussing his work, creative process, signature style, and exclusive projects. Copies of Deniot’s new book,\u00a0Destinations: Jean-Louis Deniot<\/strong><\/em>, will be available for sale at a reception and signing after the talk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Art Basel\u2019s partner fair, Design Miami<\/a>, it will feature six French galleries : Galerie BSL, Patrick Seguin, Maria Wettergen, Negropontes, Sc\u00e8ne Ouverte and Carpenter\u2019s workshop.
