Envisioned as a multi-year, multi-destination exhibition,\u00a0this project\u00a0aims to\u00a0explore variations on Creole and Francophone identities\u00a0and\u00a0to expand the understanding of Creole identity as a worldwide cultural identity\u2014”Creolit\u00e9”\u2014\u00a0through the work of\u00a0five\u00a0contemporary artists.<\/p>\n

These artists work within a variety of media, ranging from traditional media like painting and quilt making, to digital and experimental media and social practices. The exhibition will focus on the interconnected conversation between their practices and the world-views they represent.<\/p>\n
