Animation First is the only festival dedicated to French animation in New York and now nationwide! The 2022 edition will present 51 premieres, a Second Annual Student Short Film Competition, and some highly anticipated Works in Progress. The first female guest of honor, Florence Miailhe, will open the festival with her award-winning The Crossing<\/em>, and closing night will feature an exclusive screening of The Summit of the Gods<\/em>. A new partnership with The Met Museum will look at Disney\u2019s influence on French animation, along with a 30th anniversary screening of Beauty and the Beast<\/em>. All films will be shown with English subtitles. Talks will be in English.<\/p>\n
