The concerts will follow the Django canon and will veer into reinterpretation, improvisation, and interplay between artists from various backgrounds, performed at the highest level of musicianship.\u00a0Since 2003, <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephanewrembel.com\"><strong>Stephane<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Wrembel<\/strong><\/a><\/u>\u00a0has produced the\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.djangoagogo.com\"><strong>Django a Gogo Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/u>, bringing together some of the finest musicians in the world to celebrate the constant evolution of the Sinti guitar style, commonly referred to as \u201cgypsy jazz.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, he will invite heralded French guitarists\u00a0<strong>Rapha\u00ebl Fa\u00ffs<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Laurent Hestin<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Sebastien Felix<\/strong> and other special guests to perform by his side.<\/p>\n<p>The festival includes two concerts at <strong>The Woodland\u00a0<\/strong>in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maplewoodartsandculture.org\/\">Maplewood, NJ<\/a>:\u00a0on <strong>Thursday, March 3,\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c<strong>The Django Experiment<\/strong>\u201d will feature Wrembel\u2019s original compositions alongside Reinhardt pieces, and on\u00a0<strong>Friday, March 4, \u201cDjango New Orleans\u201d<\/strong> will blend traditional sounds of New Orleans with the voices of gypsy jazz guitars with the help of special guests. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Saturday<\/strong>, <strong>March 5 <\/strong>at 8pm, the celebration will be in full swing at <u><a href=\"https:\/\/thetownhall.org\/\"><strong>The Town Hall<\/strong><\/a><\/u> in New York for the <strong>\u201cAll Star\u201d<\/strong> concert with close to a dozen performers on this legendary stage.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A jam session will conclude the festival at <strong>Barb\u00e8s<\/strong> in Brooklyn on<strong> Sunday, March 6<\/strong> at 6pm with several performers from the various concerts. Tickets will be available at the door only; find more information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barbesbrooklyn.com\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel, Wrembel will host a guitar camp from March 1-6\u00a0at local residences and venues in Maplewood, NJ. This includes a intensive series of interactive workshops, class instruction and \u201cjam sessions\u201d focusing on rhythm and improvisation in the style of Django Reinhardt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>St\u00e9phane Wrembel<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0specializes in the style of <strong>Reinhardt<\/strong>, learning his craft among the Gypsies at campsites in the French countryside before graduating from <strong>Berklee College of Music<\/strong>.
