{"id":560815,"date":"2024-04-11T22:11:29","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T22:11:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/?post_type=app_event&#038;p=560815"},"modified":"2024-04-22T15:27:48","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T15:27:48","slug":"art-in-the-age-of-ai-attention-is-all-you-need","status":"publish","type":"app_event","link":"https:\/\/villa-albertine.org\/va\/events\/art-in-the-age-of-ai-attention-is-all-you-need\/","title":{"rendered":"Art in the Age of AI: &#8220;Attention is All You Need&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by a 2017 research paper of the same name that led to the breakthrough of the Large Languages Models and GenAI,  &#8220;Attention Is All You Need&#8221; explores the \u201cattention mechanism\u201d at the heart of the AI revolution as well as its implications for the art world and the current dynamics of the AI race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the discussion will explore the need for transparency, ethics, frameworks, and shared values in addressing challenges related to AI, and the potential for the realm of arts and culture to adapt to this transformative era. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before joining Google, tech and culture expert <strong>Laurent Gaveau<\/strong> was the Assistant Director of Communications at Versailles since 2008, in charge of the New Media department&#8217;s marketing, and partnerships operations. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, he additionally holds a postgraduate degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne. He previously worked at the Opera de Paris, the Centre Pompidou, and Universal Music France, first as Head of the Jazz and Classical Music project, then as Head of Online Marketing for all labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About Art in the Age of AI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Villa Albertine\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Art in the Age of AI&nbsp;<\/strong>event is a two-day exploration of the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on creative practices, present and future.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bringing together French and U.S.-based artists, tech world leaders, museum directors, journalists, scholars, and lawyers, the event will include panel discussions and demonstrations featuring representatives from OpenAI, SAG-AFTRA, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the U.S. Copyright Office, Google, the French Government\u2019s AI Commission, Columbia University, Sciences Po, Polytechnique, and more.
