What will remain as pure creations once AI has&nbsp;automated certain tasks? What or who is considered a genius in an AI-powered world? This engaging panel discussion will center on&nbsp;how AI can&nbsp;assist artists by offering new&nbsp;dimensions of creative expression and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simon Bouisson<\/strong>, French Artist<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simon Bouisson is a writer, filmmaker, and a La F\u00e9mis film school graduate. He has directed digital and new media projects (<em>Jour de Vote<\/em>, <em>Tokyo Reverse<\/em>, <em>Dezoom)<\/em> and has produced two interactive fiction works, <em>Wei or Die <\/em>(Fipa d\u2019or in 2016) and <em>R\u00e9publique<\/em> (screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2021).  Additionally, has directed the television series <em>3615 Monique<\/em> for OCS and<em> Stalk<\/em> for FTV (winner of Best Director in 2019, and Best Half-Hour Series in 2021<a>&nbsp;<\/a>at the La Rochelle Festival). He is currently working on two feature-length films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minne Atairu<\/strong>, US Artist <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minne&nbsp;Atairu is an interdisciplinary artist whose research-driven work explores the complexities of Blackness as it unfolds within Generative AI systems.&nbsp;Minne&nbsp;has exhibited and performed at The Shed, New York (2023), Frieze, London (2023); The Harvard Art Museums, Boston (2022); Markk Museum, Hamburg (2021 \u2013 ); SOAS Brunei Gallery University of London, London (2022); Microscope Gallery, New York (2022); and the Fleming Museum of Art, Vermont (2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderated by <strong>Kyle Chayka<\/strong>, The New Yorker<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyle Chayka is a staff writer at&nbsp;<em>The New Yorker<\/em>, where he writes a column on digital technology and the impact of the Internet and social media on culture. His debut nonfiction book,&nbsp;<em>The Longing for Less<\/em>, an exploration of minimalism in life and art, was published in 2020. As a journalist and critic he has contributed to many publications, including&nbsp;<em>The New York Times Magazine<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Harper\u2019s<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>The New Republic<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Vox<\/em>. He was the first staff writer of the art publication Hyperallergic. Kyle is also the co-founder of Study Hall, an online community for journalists, and Dirt, a newsletter about digital culture. He lives in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Art in the Age of AI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Villa Albertine\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Art in the Age of AI&nbsp;<\/strong>event is a two-day exploration of the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on creative practices, present and future.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bringing together French and U.S.-based artists, tech world leaders, museum directors, journalists, scholars, and lawyers, the event will include panel discussions and demonstrations featuring representatives from OpenAI, SAG-AFTRA, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the U.S. Copyright Office, Google, the French Government\u2019s AI Commission, Columbia University, Sciences Po, Polytechnique, and more.
