The mission of The African Diaspora International Film Festival is to expand the traditional views and perceptions of what the Black experience is by showcasing award-winning socially relevant documentary and fiction films about people of color, from Peru to Zimbabwe, from the USA to Belgium and from New Zealand to Jamaica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation of ADIFF is art, culture and education. We believe in the power of films as an educational tool and always strive to off er a rich and diverse programming that presents an alternative worldview to that typically offered by other international fi lm festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADIFF NYC 2023 will present 80 films from 33 countries. As always, ADIFF brings you a mix of comedies, dramas, romances and thought provoking and entertaining documentaries from major film festivals – including Berlinale, Cannes, Toronto, FESPACO and Durban – as well as films by American and international independent filmmakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival gives French filmmaking top billing with 11 French films as part of the in-person festival, and 4 more as part of the virtual festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
