This event is free and open to all with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/the-cemetery-of-cinema-tickets-1242593232809?aff=oddtdtcreator\">RSVP<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1953, Mamadou Tour\u00e9 directed the film <em>Mouramani<\/em>, a film considered as the first ever made by a Black French-speaking director. However, the mystery remains. No one knows where to find a print, nor if one even exists.The Cemetery of Cinema&nbsp;is the search for that film, an ode to cinema, both the kind we watch and the kind we make. It is a road-movie from east to west, north to south, a film full of love, humor and tenderness towards his peers and the new generation to come but also a quest as Souleymane marches with a sign demanding <em>Mouramani\u2019s<\/em>&nbsp;return\u2026<br><strong><br>About the Filmmaker:<\/strong><br>Thierno Souleymane Diallo was born in 1983 in Pita, Middle Guinea. He studied at the Institut Sup\u00e9rieur des Arts de Guin\u00e9e. In 2012, he moved to Niger to study documentary filmmaking, graduating in Senegal.
