A <\/span>cin\u00e9ma-v\u00e9rit\u00e9<\/span> documentary following <\/span>Dakh<\/span> Daughters – an intellectual freak cabaret band, created by seven <\/span>actresses<\/span> under the roof of Kyiv experimental contemporary theater <\/span>Dakh<\/span>. The video diary spans almost five years, following <\/span>Dakh<\/span> Daughters since their first show, titled ‘Roses’ – after their first popular song ‘<\/span>Rozy<\/span> \/ Donbas’, written long before Donbas region became the war-torn zone of the so called ‘Russian Spring’.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alisa Kovalenko (1987) is a Ukrainian director, born in <\/span>Zaporizhia<\/span>, Eastern Ukraine, living in Kyiv. She <\/span>graduated<\/span> the Karpenko-Kary University of Cinema of Kyiv and the Andrzej-<\/span>Wajda<\/span> cinema school of Warsaw. Her first feature-documentary “Alisa in <\/span>Warland”premiered<\/span> at <\/span>IDFA<\/span> Amsterdam in 2015 in the First <\/span>A<\/span>ppearance competition. Alisa\u2019s second documentary, “Home Games” was again an IDFA selection, selected in more than 120 <\/span>festiovals<\/span> and being the first Ukrainian creative film <\/span>acquired<\/span> by Netflix. Alisa has become a member of The European Film Academy (EFA) in 2019. <\/span>She’s<\/span> the programmer of the <\/span>Molodist<\/span> Kyiv <\/span>FF<\/span> documentary competition. In March 2022, she went to fight for her country in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
