Harrisonburg, Virginie – La Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art a r\u00e9cemment re\u00e7u une subvention pour soutenir l’exposition Both Sides of the River<\/em> (31 janvier – 18 mars 2023). L’exposition rassemble les \u0153uvres d’artistes internationaux et am\u00e9ricains afin d’encourager les dialogues entre l’art, l’\u00e9cologie d\u00e9coloniale et la pr\u00e9servation de l’environnement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Organis\u00e9e par le Dr Beth Hinderliter, Both Sides of the River <\/em>est une exposition qui se base sur l’importance des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes fluviaux en tant que site dynamique o\u00f9 la terre et l’eau se rencontrent et qui propose des approches d\u00e9coloniales de la justice et de la r\u00e9paration de l’environnement. Les \u0153uvres de Carolina Caycedo, Sara Favriau, Marcos \u00c1vila Forero, Kosmolgym et Mary Mattingly explorent diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles de temps g\u00e9ologique, et g\u00e9n\u00e8re une activation perceptives et sensorielles \u00e0 l’appui de l’\u00e9cologie d\u00e9coloniale, du racisme environnemental, ainsi que de nouvelles relations inter-esp\u00e8ces et de la solidarit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\n\u00ab\u00a0Je suis tr\u00e8s heureuse de recevoir ce soutien pour Both Sides of the River<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, d\u00e9clare la directrice de la galerie, Beth Hinderliter. \u00ab\u00a0Ce projet rassemble divers artistes internationaux autour de conversations essentielles sur la violence climatique et le racisme environnemental.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both Sides of the River<\/em> est soutenu par Etant donn\u00e9s Contemporary Art, un programme de la Villa Albertine et de la Fondation FACE, en partenariat avec l’Ambassade de France aux Etats-Unis, avec le soutien du minist\u00e8re fran\u00e7ais de la Culture<\/a>, de l’Institut fran\u00e7ais<\/a>, de la Fondation Ford<\/a>, de la Fondation Helen Frankenthaler<\/a>, de CHANEL et de l’ADAGP<\/a>.<\/p>\n
