Entamant son aventure des Oscars au Sundance virtuel de 2021, o\u00f9 il a rafl\u00e9 les plus grandes r\u00e9compenses, dont le Prix sp\u00e9cial du jury pour l\u2019ensemble du casting, le Prix de la mise en sc\u00e8ne, le Prix du public et le Grand prix du jury, CODA<\/em> a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 achet\u00e9 par Apple pour 25 millions de dollars.<\/p>\n

Le film est sorti en salles et dans le monde sur Apple TV+ en Ao\u00fbt dernier, et il est le premier film au casting majoritairement sourd \u00e0 recevoir une nomination pour le Meilleur film. La star du film, Troy Kotsur, est aussi le premier acteur masculin sourd \u00e0 recevoir une nomination pour le Meilleur acteur dans un second r\u00f4le.<\/p>\n

Cette sortie en salle limit\u00e9e aura lieu dans les grandes villes des Etats-Unis et \u00e0 Londres, sans frais et avec des sous-titres visibles. Trois s\u00e9ances par jour auront lieu dans une logique premier arriv\u00e9, premier servi. Une projection sp\u00e9ciale \u00e0 Los Angeles sera suivie d\u2019un Q&A live avec le casting et la sc\u00e9nariste\/r\u00e9alisatrice Si\u00e2n Heder.<\/p>\n

Ruby (Emilia Jones) est la seule membre entendante d\u2019une famille sourde. \u00c0 17 ans, elle travaille tous les matins avant les cours pour aider ses parents (Marlee Matlin et Troy Kotsur) et son fr\u00e8re (Daniel Durant) \u00e0 maintenir le commerce de p\u00eache \u00e0 Gloucester. Mais en rejoignant la chorale de son lyc\u00e9e, Ruby se retrouve attir\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois par son partenaire de duo (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) et sa passion latente pour la chanson. Son chef de choeur enthousiaste et d\u2019une fermet\u00e9 affectueuse (Eugenio Derbez) entend quelque chose de sp\u00e9cial et encourage Ruby \u00e0 envisager une \u00e9cole de musique ainsi qu\u2019un futur au-del\u00e0 de la p\u00eache, ce qui la laisse d\u00e9chir\u00e9e entre son devoir envers sa famille et la poursuite de ses r\u00eaves.<\/p>\n
