Mais Breillat est un cin\u00e9aste et un romancier dont l&rsquo;\u0153uvre a toujours suscit\u00e9 de vives r\u00e9actions, explorant souvent les questions \u00e9pineuses de la sexualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;un point de vue r\u00e9solument personnel.<\/p>\n<p>La s\u00e9rie comprend de rares projections en 35 mm de son premier film transgressif, <em>A Real Young Girl <\/em>(1976, mais qui n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9 par ses bailleurs de fonds pendant plus de 20 ans), portrait de l&rsquo;\u00e9veil sexuel d&rsquo;une jeune fille de 14 ans adapt\u00e9 de son propre roman. Parmi les autres \u0153uvres de jeunesse projet\u00e9es en 35 mm, citons <em>Nocturnal Uproar<\/em> (1979, \u00e9galement adapt\u00e9 de son propre roman), <em>Dirty Like an Angel <\/em>(1991) et <em>A Perfect Love<\/em> (1996), tous actuellement indisponibles sur les services de streaming ou en vid\u00e9o amateur aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les autres films au programme, citons le succ\u00e8s international provocateur de Breillat, <em>Fat Girl<\/em> (2001), et son making-of fictionnel, <em>Sex Is Comedy<\/em> (2002) ; l&rsquo;\u00e9pop\u00e9e historique <em>The Last Mistress<\/em> (2007) ; deux adaptations de contes de f\u00e9es fran\u00e7ais classiques, <em>Barbe Bleue<\/em> (2009) et <em>La Belle au bois dormant<\/em> (2010) ; et son film le plus r\u00e9cent, <em>Abuse of Weakness<\/em> (2013), d&rsquo;inspiration autobiographique, avec Isabelle Huppert.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9e en 1948, Catherine Breillat d\u00e9cide tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t de devenir \u00e9crivain et publie son premier roman \u00e0 17 ans, qui sera ensuite interdit en France aux moins de 18 ans en raison de son contenu sexuel transgressif et explicite. Elle \u00e9tudie le th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00e0 Paris et fait ses d\u00e9buts au cin\u00e9ma avec un petit r\u00f4le dans <em>Le dernier tango \u00e0 Paris <\/em>(1972) de Bernardo Bertolucci. Son premier film, <em>A Real Young Girl<\/em>, adapt\u00e9 de son roman <em>Le Soupirail<\/em> (1974), a \u00e9t\u00e9 achev\u00e9 en 1976, et son deuxi\u00e8me long m\u00e9trage, <em>Nocturnal Uproar<\/em> (\u00e9galement adapt\u00e9 de son propre roman), a suivi trois ans plus tard.
