Partnerships and Development Intern
Responsibilities
- Research prospective corporate and foundation partners for program areas in the arts, culture, K-12 and higher education
- Assist in speechwriting
- Draft donor correspondence and assist in English language copyediting for internal and external facing communications
- Translate documents from French to English
- Manage database of donors, prospects, and institutional contacts
- Assist in event organization and management
Skills and Interests
- Advanced writing, editing, research, and translation skills;
- Knowledge and/or curiosity about French and American cultural and educational landscapes;
- Experience and/or curiosity about development and the French and American fundraising landscapes
- Knowledge of New York and French educational, literary, and arts and cultural institutions a plus
Candidates should be highly motivated self-starters who work well as a team and are organized, proactive, dedicated, and conscientious.
Language Requirements
- French (reading, speaking, writing): Intermediate/Advanced
- English (reading, speaking, writing): Bilingual/Native speaker
Eligibility:
This position is open to students enrolled full-time at an American universities. Please note that we cannot accept candidates who have already graduated from university; high school students; or students who require a visa to work in the United States.
The Partnerships and Development Intern will work 2 to 3 days per week. A mutually convenient weekly schedule will be determined on the candidate's start date.
Please note that this is an unpaid position, but we are happy to work with the selected candidate to secure school credit.
